The folks at OpenAI have delivered on their 12 days of Shipmas with the release of their Sora video generation tool for ChatGPT Plus and Pro users.
By way of demonstration: In mere minutes, we put together a high production value 20-second commercial for a fictional product. An output that would have taken days, required a team of staff, and cost thousands of dollars to produce, now available to anyone with $20.
This is the power of modern AI. While the technology will empower businesses and creatives, allowing them to create stunning content for virtually no cost, it will have considerable impacts on the marketing, advertising, and entertainment spaces.
What does video advertising look like when everyone has a studio on their PC? What will entertainment look like when we can create feature length films from simple text prompts?
